In particular, the SPARC Process meetings
led by your team generated enthusiasm and a common vision on the meaning of sustainability in operations at NMH. The follow-up
documentation and concrete work plans created a simple and effective tool to track and sustain the work.
The real value was leading
the group in a journey to
discover for ourselves what was important and feasible to this particular
institution at this time. Then to follow that up with tools to change behavior and ingrained
attitudes really put us on the right path to creating and implementing sustainability initiatives across our facilities, design
and constructions, materials management, food service, environmental services, and patient care departments.
I look
forward to more collaboration and exploration with Viridian Advisors as we look for more ways to bring sustainability to healthcare.
